Anyone wondering where this hill is:

It's on Blue trail 2  ....

It's a real fun hill no matter which direction you attempt it.

you've gotta hit it just right to make it over.  my xj barely clears with 4" lift.

I made it my frist attempt in my dodge ram but then the second attempt I didn't.  The two attempts were about 3 months apart and I had forgotten how I did it with my long wheelbase.  Turns out on my thrid attempt (right after the second one) I followed the ruts and kept on the gas I scraped going over but made it.

We had an `88 Suburban on 33's make it over last year.

Even my K5 on 36's w/6" lift just clears the breakover. If I had to pick which direction is more fun, it would be heading Frog Hole's direction (rut side first)....

My technique for my Wrangler with 31's (formerly 30's) is to floor it and not slow down till after the front end goes airborn at the top.  Then I just sort of free fall down the other side.  I upset my cooler (and everything else) every time.  If I get too cautious, I usually end up getting hung up.  (1 inch body lift--1 1/2 inch shackle lift)

I usually give it the gas going over and im on 31s & 3" of lift, I scrape crossmember a little in the dirt.

What you really need is a TJ with a Tummy Tuck.  I've never came close to hitting on that hill.   :hitit_sml:

I've done it in the snow, and it's a real PITA (pain in the a**).  It takes multiple tries, advancing your path through the snow a couple feet on each try until you can reach the top.

I did this hill back in April in 2HI.   :338:  I broke my u-joint in the front axle first thing in the morning that day, but I had done this hill before.  So, I gave it a shot and up and over it went.  Yes I bottomed out, but not too bad though.  Here's a video link for you to look at.
